- There has been some rumors that elite 2018 DE Max Wright could take an official visit to Texas if Sumlin is let go. I have been saying since his a&m commitment that I believe he is UT bound should Sumlin be replaced and I still stand behind that sentiment. It will be a little difficult but the staff has not let up in his recruitment. He would obviously be one of the first two prospects that an a&m replacement coach would reach out to and try to keep locked in but I believe it's a 50/50 shot for UT should Sumlin be replaced.
- ATH Maureese Wren of Mesquite Horn decommitted from Arkansas recently and the staff has been in contact. He is being looked at as a potential LB. The movement here is just beginning so we will continue to reach out to sources and monitor but things appear to heating up.
- The biggest and best news is that 2018 JUCO standout OL Badara Traore has said that he will absolutely take an official visit to UT and is working on getting the dates ironed out. This would be a really good get if we can pull it off as I don't think it's any secret that the offensive line could use a lot of help. He is the #7 ranked JUCO recruit in the country and the top ranked offensive lineman. The staff extended an offer last week and seems to be in as good a position as anyone so far.
- With the bye being this week, the staff will be all over the state visiting recruits. If you've been on twitter the past few days you may have seen Herman making visits in the UT helicopter at a lot of games. So far coaches have visited: 2019 OL Branson Brag, 18' DE Max Wright, 18' DB Jalen Green, and 18' RB Keaontay Ingram. I have looked around and am told that Coaches Drayton and Orlando will be in Florida tonight to see Ayodele Adeoye and Noah Cain. Coach Beck will be in Cali visting Cameron Rising and Tanner McKee. Coach Washington will be in Houston seeing Anthony Cook, D'shawn Jamison, and Al'vonte Woodard. Coach Giles will be visting Joseph Ossai and 19' OL Tyler Johnson. One of the staff will also be visiting 19' OL Kenyon Green of Atascocita.
- UT Slot commit Rondale Moore will visit Purdue this weekend and many are expecting him to flip as soon as Sunday. As I reported earlier, if this happens you can expect to hear a lot of Converse Judson Ath Julon Williams possibly flipping his commitment from UH to UT. The staff likes what he can bring to the slot position.

Also to add to this
- There are a few kids in the IMG vs Miami Central game that will be evaluated further (Houston Griffith and Logan Compton) - Hearing good things about Ossai and Texas. Alot of people think A&M is in the lead but a source close to his commitment has told me that Texas is alot higher up in his mind than originally thought. How much of the A&M recruiting class and coaching staff are around in the event that Sumlin is indeed let go will play a major role here
